Näyttely Sörnäisten kampuskirjastossa 7.10.-28.11.2025

Näyttelyn kuvaus:

Stranger than Fiction is a group exhibition by Uniarts staff, students, alumni, and artist-researchers that map the fictional characters inhabiting our minds, memories, and imaginations. Participants interpret their chosen literary figures through portraits in any medium (drawing, painting, photography, collage, AI, music, or performance) bound only by a single formal constraint: works must be A4 in size and displayed horizontally. Curated by Helsinki-based South African researcher-curator, Nina Liebenberg, these portraits sit alongside additional artworks selected from the university’s Works of Art collection and artworks found in the pages of the library’s books. The exhibition becomes a constellation of personal narratives, where literature, memory, intimacy and artistic choices intersect both individually and collectively.
